Join CoSocial and be a part of creating a community-run and organized alternative to Twitter, our cooperative has open membership to all who are:
- Canadian residents
- Over the age of 18
- If you are an organization, you can also sign up as an organization and receive additional benefits.
A one-time redeemable purchase of a member share ($10) is included in the first years’ fee. In addition to full access to CoSocial services, all members are able to participate in the day-to-day running of a volunteer-run cooperative get the right to vote at our annual general meeting (AGM).
We charge the $50 so that we can run our servers and know you are supporting a trust and safety team.
Ready to join? Great! Follow these three steps:
1. Sign up for an account at cosocial.ca, after reading and accepting our server rules. After clicking on accept, you’ll see the standard Mastodon sign up form:
The “Why do you want to join?” field is required, please let us know what about CoSocial is interesting or important to you!
2. Pay your member fees, wait to hear from our Trust & Safety moderators or head directly to our Open Collective and select your contribution level.
3. Read the welcome email you’ll receive once moderators approve your account. That’s it!
